Block 1: September 10th, 17th, 24th & October 1st (with Ruth)

Block 2: October 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th (with Yanna)

Block 3: November 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th (with Yanna)

Please note, there will be no classes in December. We will recommence in the new year:

Block 4: January 14th, 21st, 28th & February 4th (with Ruth)

Block 5: February 11th, 18th, 25th & March 4th (with Ruth)

The classes are followed by a practica (£5).

Beginners (5.30pm):
"An Introduction to the Joys of Tango Argentino"*

The Cost: £32 for each block of 4 classes.

Who can come?
Any adult is welcome! It is not necessary to come with a partner, but if you want to come with a fixed partner to work with, that's fine too.
Anyone who already dances one role and would like to learn the other role from scratch is especially welcome.

OCTOBER:

Week 1 (October 8th): DEEP WALK - WITH SURPRISE
Week 2 (October 15th): OCHO CORTADO - PLAYFUL VARIATIONS
Week 3 (Octobr 22nd): MUCHOS OCHOS
Week 4 (October 29th): CROSSES

NOVEMBER:

Week 1 (November 5th): RHYTHMS (DOUBLE TIME)
Week 2 (November 12th): GIROS
Week 3 (November 19th): VALS
Week 4 (November 26th): CLOSE EMBRACE

The Cost: £10 per class or £32 for all four

Who can come?
Any adult is welcome! Priority will be given to those who book the whole course of 4 classes. It is not necessary to come with a partner, but if you are a higher level dancer, you may want to arrange to come with a fixed partner to work with.

PRIVATE LESSONS

by appointment, on Wednesday afternoons

For some people, learning in a group is not the best option. Maybe you want to maximise the time you spend learning, or you are shy, or you want to go over something in detail, or you want to give a special gift to a friend.
Having danced both roles for more than 20 years, Ruth is equally happy to lead (to dance the role of 'the man') or to follow (to dance the role of 'the woman') in her private lessons. Knowing both roles equally well gives her a complete picture of the dance, and she can bring this understanding to your learning process.
* A private lesson gives you input in a concentrated form. One hour of private tuition is usually the equivalent of three hours of group classes.
* You can arrange lessons at times and intervals that suit you.

*When Ruth is away, she is sometimes replaced by her esteemed colleague Yanna Esbenson.

During October and November 2024, contact Yanna directly to arrange a one-off, or a series of private lessons.

2025 Workshop with Ruth & Yanna

Cost: £20 (£15 for those who take the regular classes in January)

Tango Lab: A guided Exploration

Ruth and Yanna are delighted to team up again and share with you some favourite elements of the dance. Whether you are relatively new to the dance or have been clocking up dance miles for years, this workshop is sure to inspire you!
